About the Position
The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment’s storage plan. Issue and collect materials/ merchandise.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to utilize computer and office machines.
- Operate a forklift and power trucks.
- Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) devices are required.
- Follow all local SOPs, policies, and Marine Regulations.
- Ability to speak, write and read the English language.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Great organizational skills and detailed oriented.
- Complete documents and reports.
- Possess working knowledge of Microsoft office system to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Computer and office machine skills.
- Basic math, problem solving skills.
- Be willing to take orders and work in a team towards the fulfillment of the project.
- Warehouse environment but may be outdoors from time-to-time.
- Work requires standing, bending, lifting, and walking for the majority of the day.
- Capable of lifting and carrying moderately heavy material (up to 60 lbs.)
- Verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents.
- Note and report discrepancies and obvious damages.
- Route materials to prescribed storage locations.
- Store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
- Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials.
- Examine stored materials.
- Report deterioration and damage.
- Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment.
- May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
- Make preventive maintenance adjustments to related equipment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Must have and maintain Material Heavy Equipment (MHE) license with 4K and 6K capacity.
- Minimum two years related experience, of which one year shall be using the type of equipment to be operated or specializing in required expertise.
- Be able to operate warehouse operating software system such as: DSS and MCPALMS.
- Must obtain or have and maintain NACI clearance.
- Must have and maintain valid U.S. License
- Obtain and maintain a Common Access Card.
