Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Crisis Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and oversight for a Mobile Crisis Intervention Team and Intake Assessment staff.

The Clinical Supervisor will oversee the quality and delivery of crisis behavioral health services, provide individual and group clinical supervision, support crisis response activities, and work closely with community partners and organizational leadership.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced licensed behavioral health professional who has strong crisis intervention skills, enjoys developing clinical teams, and is comfortable providing leadership in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical supervision and leadership to Mobile Crisis Intervention and Intake Assessment staff.
• Provide both individual and group clinical supervision to crisis and assessment clinicians.
• Monitor clinical practice, staff licensure, certification, and credentialing requirements.
• Provide ongoing clinical consultation, case review, and guidance regarding complex behavioral health cases.
• Respond to behavioral health crises, including assessment and coordination of appropriate levels of care.
• Provide telephone consultation and clinical support to crisis staff as needed, including support related to 24/7 crisis operations.
• Oversee and support the civil commitment process.
• Coordinate staff schedules, shift coverage, and holiday coverage.
• Hold clinical staff accountable for productivity, timely documentation, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure clinical documentation and services remain compliant with Medicaid requirements and other applicable regulatory and funding standards.
• Develop and implement clinical best practices, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Provide ongoing staff training related to:
• Crisis intervention
• Risk assessment
• Safety planning
• Care coordination
• Clinical documentation
• Behavioral health best practices
• Coach, mentor, train, and develop clinical team members.
• Facilitate team development, conflict resolution, and effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Work with leadership and clinical teams to develop and implement quality-improvement initiatives.
• Assist with development of clinical data-tracking and performance-monitoring processes.
• Develop alternatives to psychiatric hospitalization whenever clinically appropriate and assist with efforts to minimize unnecessary hospitalization.
• Serve as a clinical liaison between organizational leadership, clinical teams, and outside community organizations.
• Coordinate with community partners including hospitals, courts, law enforcement, and other behavioral health or social service agencies.
• Provide education, consultation, and support to community partners.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients, coworkers, community agencies, and interdisciplinary professionals.

Required Qualifications

• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential.
• Must have been independently licensed for at least two years.
• Previous clinical experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Strong knowledge of crisis assessment, intervention, safety planning, and coordination of care.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, mentor, train, and develop clinical professionals.
• Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage individuals and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement behavioral health policies and procedures.
• Ability to evaluate and improve behavioral health programs and services.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous crisis intervention or mobile crisis experience.
• Experience overseeing behavioral health quality-improvement initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with hospitals, law enforcement, courts, and other community agencies.
• Certified Clinical Supervisor credential or willingness to complete certification requirements within two years of employment.
• Master's-level QMHP candidates should be credentialed as a Mental Health Investigator or willing to pursue credentialing.

Additional Requirements

• Valid Oregon driver's license.
• Must be insurable for purposes of client services and work-related travel.
• Ability to travel between offices and attend required meetings and trainings.
• Must successfully complete required criminal background checks.
• Must successfully complete required drug screening.
• Reliable and punctual attendance is required.
• Must be comfortable working independently while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with the broader clinical team.
