The Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) is responsible for generating residential mortgage loan business by developing relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources, as well as assisting clients in identifying the appropriate mortgage products to meet their financial goals. The MLO will guide borrowers through the loan application process, ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines, and provide excellent customer service from application through closing.

The MLO will guide borrowers through the loan application process, ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines, and provide excellent customer service from application through closing.
Requirements
- Develop and maintain a network of referral partners (real estate agents, builders, financial advisors, etc.) to generate loan business.
- Meet with prospective borrowers to understand their financial needs and recommend suitable mortgage products.
- Assist clients in completing loan applications and collect required documentation.
- Explain loan terms, rates, and conditions to borrowers in a clear and compliant manner.
- Submit complete and accurate loan applications to processing and underwriting.
- Work closely with processors, underwriters, and closers to ensure timely approval and closing of loans.
- Maintain knowledge of current mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Achieve individual production goals as set by management.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure borrower satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
- Active Mortgage Loan Originator license (NMLS registration required).
- 5 years experience in mortgage lending.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage loan products, conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and DPA lending programs.
- Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills.
- Ability to build and maintain referral networks.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in loan origination systems (LOS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
