Functional Description
The Electronics Repair Technician position is critical to our core competence in repairing medical device electronics. Repairing, replacing, and reworking electronics on PCBAs to the component level is the mainstay of the position followed by simplistic testing to validate the work and restore the functionality of the electronic device. Some examples of electronic components that this position will diagnose, and rework include coaxial wires, transistors, capacitors, ICs, and BGAs. Sophisticated diagnostic tools help accelerate identifying faulty circuits and components. This position will be supported by management and senior peers with extensive knowledge to make a candidate with a great ability to learn highly successful.
Scope of Outcomes
The core responsibilities for this position include:
- Diagnose PCBA electronic faults to the component level
- Assemble and rework electronic assemblies and components
- Perform precision microscope work
- Examine component parts for defects
- Participate in industry leading Quality Management System
- Use of web interface system to track tasks and accomplishments
Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Proficient with Digital Multimeters
- High degree of hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity
- Excellent attention to detail
- Technical ability to read and follow work instructions
- Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
- Ability and willingness to learn and improve
Preferred qualifications include:
- Familiarity with Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, LCR Meters, and similar equipment
Environmental and Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Dexterous ability to manipulate small objects
- Willing to work standard and non-standard hours as required to support the customers
