Soluri Architecture is seeking a part-time junior or intermediate level architect with at least 2 years professional experience (junior architect) or 5 years experience (intermediate architect) in a dynamic, hands-on and design-focused environment. All applicants must be proficient in Revit (we do not use AutoCad)
Soluri Architecture is a hand-on, award-winning practice that solves complex problems through simple, elegant, and extraordinary design solutions. Our clients are outside-the-box thinkers, often at the cutting-edge of their industry, who aren’t interested in blending-in, or cookie-cutter design. We're a small firm doing big things in the world and have completed over 250 projects since our founding in 2005 including 140 renovations (most in NYC). The firm has won 29 awards over the last 10 years including honorable mentions in 2021 for "Firm of the Year" by Architecture Masterprize and "Inc" Magazine's "Best in Business .
This position will give the successful applicant an opportunity to participate in all phases of design-oriented commercial, corporate, non-profit and residential projects (both renovation and new construction).
The ideal candidates should have a balance of technical expertise and aesthetic judgment with experience producing construction documents in Revit. The position involves working directly with the principal and depending on level of experience may work directly with contractors, consultants and clients. The right candidates have potential to grow with the firm and expand their responsibilities - this position has the opportunity to become full-time.
If you do not have significant experience using Revit in a professional environment, please do not apply for this position. Significant professional experience in Revit is Required for this position. We are also open to considering applicants with more significant experience.
This role is intended to be in-person.
Requirements:
- Strong Revit skills a MUST. A minimum of 2-3 years producing construction document sets in Revit in a professional environment is required.
- Strong design skills & ability to think "outside the box"
- Project management experience preferred
- Experience in NYC architectural offices preferred
- Construction administration experience preferred
- Technical knowledge and architectural detailing skills beneficial
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to roll up sleeves
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and MS Office Suite is expected
- Must be a authorized to work in US
