Description:Solterra Academy provides comprehensive special education for students aged 5 to 22 requiring intensive intervention due to severe emotional, behavioral, cognitive, developmental, and/or learning challenges. Our dedication lies in the cooperative, self-motivated, adjusted, and academically accomplished development of each child.We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Teacher for our Vocational Program to support students in developing essential job-readiness skills and to assist in implementing vocational instruction aligned with IEP goals. This role is ideal for someone who is highly motivated, patient, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping students build independence and workplace skills.Starting Rate: $23.00, commensurate with experienceSchedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (In-Person)Summer Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM (In-Person)Please note: This position requires a year-round commitment, including both the regular school year and our summer session. We do not offer summer-only employment.ResponsibilitiesBuild positive and therapeutic relationships with students and actively engage regularly Follow and reinforce classroom expectations in line with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) systems.
