SOLTECH
Duluth, GA Full Time
POSTED ON 7/28/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/26/2026

Our client is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join its Commercial Software team within their Project Management Office (PMO). This is an exciting opportunity to lead the successful delivery of enterprise software solutions for an innovative organization at the forefront of smart technology and digital transformation.

As a Program Manager, you will oversee multiple software development initiatives, partnering closely with Product Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with strategic business objectives. This role extends beyond traditional project management, requiring a leader who can coordinate complex programs, influence cross-functional teams, proactively mitigate risks, and provide visibility across a portfolio of software initiatives.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced Agile environment, enjoys solving complex delivery challenges, and excels at building alignment across technical and business teams. You will play a key role in driving execution, improving delivery processes, and supporting a collaborative culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.

This is a hybrid position based in Duluth, Georgia, with an expectation of working onsite approximately three days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple concurrent software development programs from planning through production release.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Scrum teams, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and business stakeholders to drive successful project execution.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and daily standups as needed.
  • Monitor project health using Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-up charts, sprint progress, and release readiness.
  • Identify project risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and remove obstacles that impact successful delivery.
  • Coordinate work across multiple software development teams while managing portfolio-wide priorities and cross-project dependencies.
  • Prepare executive dashboards, project status reports, meeting agendas, action items, and stakeholder communications.
  • Collaborate effectively with distributed onshore and offshore development teams to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Coordinate software production releases by facilitating release activities, validating approvals, reviewing change summaries, and ensuring successful execution of release plans.
  • Participate in periodic evening production release activities as part of a shared Program Management rotation.
  • Support PMO portfolio reviews and present program updates to leadership as appropriate.
  • Build strong partnerships across technical and business organizations while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Leverage AI-powered capabilities within project management and collaboration platforms to improve reporting, documentation, communication, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing software development projects or programs within an Agile environment.
  • Experience working directly with Scrum teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum principles.
  • Proven experience managing multiple concurrent software projects involving cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, dependencies, resource planning, and delivery timelines.
  • Experience identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks and cross-team dependencies.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, and related project management tools.
  • Experience analyzing Agile delivery metrics, including velocity, sprint progress, burn-up charts, and release readiness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within enterprise software product organizations.
  • Experience managing programs using Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Scrum Master experience or certification.
  • Experience coordinating globally distributed or offshore software development teams.
  • Experience supporting SOX-controlled software initiatives or other regulated environments.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve project management workflows, reporting, documentation, or team productivity.

What We're Looking For

Successful Program Managers combine exceptional organizational skills with strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities. Rather than simply tracking project activities, they understand how initiatives connect across the organization and proactively drive successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • A strategic program management mindset with the ability to oversee multiple interconnected initiatives.
  • A proactive, ownership-oriented approach that anticipates challenges before they impact delivery.
  • The ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive accountability without direct authority.
  • Comfort working within a highly matrixed organization while balancing competing priorities.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a passion for building productive working relationships.
  • Adaptability in a fast-changing environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • A strong sense of urgency, accountability, and commitment to delivering measurable business results.
