As a Research Technician here at Solstice Pottsville, you will conduct experiments, collect data, and maintain lab equipment, ensuring accurate research findings to drive innovation and new technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Plans, prepares and executes process development trials on resin pelletizing, film extrusion and film slitting lines
- Performs tests on films and resins
- Records and reports trial process data
- Supports R&D efforts by maintaining inventory records, preparing and shipping samples, creating Purchase requisitions
- A basic knowledge of extrusion equipment, set up, running and disassembly/cleaning.
- Requires both working independently and working closely with Technology Engineers and R&D group technicians, Operations, Quality as well as the broader business and Technology teams.
- Candidate should be detail oriented, have good communication skills, and be able to follow written and oral instructions to accomplish multiple tasks safely.

- Collect and analyze data, and prepare reports on findings
- Assist in the development and improvement of prototypes and products
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
YOU MUST HAVE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of film extrusion with web handling experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong commitment to HSE policies and procedures
- 6 Sigma certification a plus
- Demonstrated ability in creative problem solving/troubleshooting
