What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Solstice Advanced Materials?
We are seeking a motivated Machine Operator Level 2 to join our Metal Processing department. The successful candidate will be trained to operate a variety of machinery, including forge presses, rolling mills, annealing furnaces, and CNC mills. This position requires a solid background in a manufacturing environment and offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills in operating advanced machinery.
You will report directly to our Production Supervisor and you'll work out of our Fombell, PA location.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate forge presses, rolling mills, annealing furnaces, and CNC mills.
- Follow standard operating procedures to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot any operational issues, escalating to management when necessary.
- Monitor production flow and communicate any discrepancies or concerns.
- Assist in adjusting machinery settings to achieve desired output specifications.
- Maintain accurate production logs and reports, documenting any incidents or machine malfunctions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
- Work closely with team members to meet production goals and maintain a team-oriented environment.
- Assist in training new operators on machine operation and safety practices.
