The Global Supply Chain Planning Leader is a senior executive responsible for defining and leading the enterprise-wide supply chain planning strategy to ensure optimal service levels, inventory performance, and cost efficiency. This role oversees demand planning, supply planning, sales & operations planning (SIOP / IBP), inventory optimization, and planning analytics across global or regional operations.
This role reports directly in Senior Vice President of Integrated Supply Chain. In addition, this role also acts as single point contact for integrated supply chain for one (out of two) of the business unit and works closely. Team size is between 75-80 resources globally with 5-6 direct reports.The role partners closely with executive leadership, commercial teams, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, finance, and IT to align supply chain capabilities with business growth, customer expectations, and financial objectives.

Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute a long-term supply chain planning strategy aligned with corporate objectives and growth plans.
- Serve as a key member of the Supply Chain and Operations leadership team, influencing enterprise decision-making.
- Lead the evolution of Integrated Business Planning (IBP / SIOP) to enable cross-functional alignment and executive-level trade-off decisions.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives related to planning systems, analytics, and automation.
- Oversee demand forecasting processes to improve forecast accuracy, bias reduction, and responsiveness to market signals.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to integrate promotions, launches, lifecycle changes, and market intelligence into forecasts.
- Establish governance, KPIs, and cadence for demand review processes.
- Lead supply planning activities to balance demand, capacity, materials, and inventory across plants, suppliers, and distribution networks.
- Ensure effective constraint management and scenario modeling to support business continuity and growth.
- Align manufacturing, procurement, and logistics plans with demand and financial targets.
- Ensure on time delivery to customers
- Build capabilities including making right promise date, delivering to promise date and providing real-time transparency of delivery date
- Drive reduction in lead times to be market competitive
Inventory & Network Optimization
- Define inventory strategy across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to optimize working capital while maintaining service levels.
- Drive inventory segmentation, safety stock strategies, and multi-echelon optimization where applicable.
- Collaborate on network design and footprint decisions to support cost, service, and resilience objectives.
- Own the end-to-end SIOP / IBP process, including demand, supply, financial reconciliation, and executive review.
- Enable fact-based decision-making through scenario planning and trade-off analysis.
- Ensure alignment between operational plans and financial forecasts.
- Lead adoption and optimization of advanced planning systems (e.g., APS, ERP, AI/ML-based forecasting tools).
- Define data standards, planning KPIs, and performance dashboards.
- Partner with IT and data teams to improve planning data quality, integration, and visibility.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing global or regional planning teams.
- Develop talent pipelines and succession plans for critical planning roles.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
YOU MUST HAVE
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field required
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, operations, or related functions
- A minimum of 7 years in senior leadership or executive-level roles
- Proven experience leading SIOP / IBP in complex, multi-site or global environments
- Demonstrated success in large-scale transformation and system implementations
- Deep expertise in demand planning, supply planning, and inventory optimization
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of P&L and working capital impacts
- Executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite and board-level stakeholders
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Change leadership and organizational transformation skills
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills using data-driven insights
- Manufacturing, CPG, life sciences, Chemical, retail, or industrials
- Experience in regulated or highly complex supply chain environments is a plus

Salary : $253,792 - $380,688
