This position is incentive plan eligible.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the key capital engineering focal point for site project portfolios within your responsibility as assigned by the ESM Capital Engineering Leader
- Facilitate the execution of capital investments through their entire life cycles in areas assigned, including prioritization, scope development, risk assessments, budgeting, engineering/design, procurement, construction execution, commissioning, startup, and project closure documentation
- Collaborate with site leadership and functional groups at multiple levels of management within ESM to develop and maintain short- and long-term plans for capital investments of various types
- Communicate with site leadership teams to provide status reporting, escalation of issues, and new project intake.
- Collaborate with Solstice Health, Safety and Environmental to ensure all project-related government agency requirements are satisfied
- Manage teams of Project Managers, engineers of various disciplines, project controls, construction engineers and other project supporting roles consisting of both Solstice employees and contractors throughout project life cycles
- Serve as the capital engineering and construction focal point for local government project permitting and inspections
- Interface with enterprise project portfolio software to manage project costs, schedule and resourcing.
- Maintain evergreen forecasting for capital and non-capital expenditures for portfolio projects within your responsibility
- Own project performance for all assigned portfolios, including safety, cost and schedule and maintain within established metrics
- Monitor and control projects to meet the committed objectives and standard metrics
- Oversee appropriate maintenance of site engineering documents, drawings, specifications, and standards
- Function as engineering department manager to review and approve eMOC tasks
- Mentor less experienced Project Managers and Engineers.
- Be an advocate for safety awareness with a consistent implementation of policies and procedures and participate in construction safety audits and contractor safety meetings
- Collaborate with Solstice strategic project management teams and serve as key point of contact for site-based support
- Provide updates and reporting in structured meetings with local teams, and meetings led by Engineering, Supply Chain, and Business leadership
- Achieve and Maintain world class performance on all assigned capital projects
- Collaborate with all project stakeholders to most effectively and efficiently deploy capital resources for the improvement of Solstice sites and businesses
- Communicate timely and effectively within all levels of the organization
- Build and manage a strong project execution team, develop a deep bench encouraging growth and solid succession planning
YOU MUST HAVE
- BS degree in Engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in capital project management with increasing responsibilities
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environments
- BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering preferred
- Strong working knowledge of plant operations and processes
- Experience in the management of financial budgets, projects, team building, people management and overall leadership
- Experience in managing capital projects during production turnarounds
- Experience working with contract engineering firms
- Six Sigma Greenbelt (or Blackbelt) certification or equivalent experience implementing productivity / continuous improvement projects
- Formal training and certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Master of Business Administration
