Senior Development Analyst
Renewable Energy Developer
New York City, NY (Hybrid: 2–3 days in office)
The Opportunity
A growing, mission-driven renewable energy development company is hiring a Senior Development Analyst to support project development and market expansion efforts as it opens a New York City office.
This role supports active development projects with multi-year timelines and offers hands-on exposure across land diligence, permitting, interconnection, data management, and stakeholder coordination. The position is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities
Working closely with internal developers and external consultants, you will:
- Execute site diligence related to environmental, utility, and land constraints
- Support land campaigns, landowner engagement, and deal structuring
- Assist with zoning, permitting, and environmental compliance processes
- Coordinate external consultants, scopes of work, budgets, and invoicing
- Support the interconnection process, including applications and utility studies
- Maintain and manage project data across internal systems and dashboards
- Track development budgets, schedules, and upcoming payments
- Create project and market reporting for internal leadership
- Develop and maintain project-level and market-wide maps
- Interface with landowners, utilities, consultants, and permitting authorities
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Prior experience in project development, energy, infrastructure, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
- Analytical, solutions-oriented mindset
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Comfortable taking initiative and managing multiple workstreams
Nice to have:
- Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure development
- Familiarity with GIS platforms or spatial data
- Background in energy, environmental studies, business, or engineering
