About the Role
We are looking for a Production & Materials Planner to support manufacturing operations by planning production schedules, managing material availability, coordinating with suppliers, and helping ensure customer orders are completed on time.
This role is a strong fit for someone with experience in production planning, materials planning, inventory control, MRP/ERP systems, and purchasing within a manufacturing environment. The position includes some buying responsibilities, but the main focus is planning, scheduling, material readiness, and keeping production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing production schedules, material availability, and supplier follow-up. This person should be proactive in identifying shortages, communicating risks, and keeping production teams aligned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field (preferred)
- 5 years of experience in purchasing, production planning, or a similar role from a complex electromechanical system/equipment company or aerospace
- Deep understanding of forecasting, inventory management, supply planning, and cross-functional coordination
- Strong working knowledge of MRP, inventory management, and capacity planning
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Proven negotiation and supplier management abilities
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
What You’ll Do
- Create and maintain daily and weekly production schedules
- Plan materials based on production needs, customer orders, and inventory levels
- Run MRP planning through ERP systems
- Track material availability and identify shortages or supply risks
- Follow up with suppliers on purchase orders, lead times, and delivery status
- Support purchasing activities for production materials
- Help maintain proper inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock
- Coordinate with Production, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
