EHS Specialist

This role is focused on keeping the plant safe, compliant and running smoothly by supporting all environmental, health and safety processes. We are looking for someone who can partner with the team, lead safety checks and training, investigate incidents and help improve day to day safety practices. The right candidate has EHS knowledge, strong organization skills and can work well with people across the plant.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science or a related field

• One to three years of EHS experience in manufacturing or equivalent training

• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data

• Good organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

• Able to collaborate with teams and support decision making

• Knowledge of state and federal regulatory standards

• Understanding of current safety and loss control practices

Responsibilities:

• Support and improve plant EHS programs and compliance

• Promote safe work practices and model proper safety behavior

• Learn and apply all required quality systems, GMP and GDP

• Assist leadership in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment

• Ensure policies and procedures meet regulations and align with company standards

• Lead and coordinate risk assessments and risk reduction activities

• Manage emergency procedures, drills and related training

• Track, monitor and present EHS metrics

• Conduct accident and near-miss investigations, and follow up on corrective actions

• Build relationships with key stakeholders to support EHS initiatives

• Partner with management to promote safe manufacturing practices

• Develop and deliver EHS training, including new hire orientations

• Participate in global EHS projects and action plans

• Join and support safety team activities

• Set EHS goals and create action plans

• Conduct internal EHS audits for compliance

• Oversee the Safety Suggestion Program

• Perform additional duties as needed
