FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCE TEACHER

The Solon Community School District is in search of a High/Middle School Family and Consumer Science Teacher interested in teaching CTE courses related to the Education General Pathway. The courses included in this pathway may include Child Development, Early Childhood Development, Introduction to Education, etc. In addition this postion will include exposing 6th-8th grade students to Career and Academic Planning concepts within the middle school exploratory rotation.
We are in search of highly qualified candidates who have a passion for working with students, value collaboration with colleagues, and a strong desire to learn and grow as an educator. Candidates should have a valid Iowa Teaching License with appropriate endorsements required for the position or the ability to acquire the appropriate licensure and endorsements.
Candidates should hold or are willing to obtain the 5-12 Family & Consumer Sciences -General (#139) endorsement.
