Quality Engineer
Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join their Mountain Top, PA location. On site position. Open due to growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and revise QMS procedures, work instructions, and documentation
- Train employees on quality system requirements and best practices
- Lead and participate in internal quality audits
- Develop, track, and complete CAPAs to support QMS improvements and performance metrics
- Apply quality testing methods and ensure alignment with customer and regulatory requirements
- Serve as the primary QA contact during customer and supplier assessments and material qualifications
- Review and release product according to established quality requirements.
- Build effective working relationships with customers and internal departments
- Analyze product performance trends using tools such as SPC, DOE, FMEA, and other statistical methods
- Address customer quality concerns and drive problem-solving efforts
- Support new product development, cost savings, and continuous improvement initiatives using quality data
- Promote consistent use of QMS tools and statistical methods across the facility
- Interpret and apply relevant industry standards, test methods, and customer specifications; train staff as needed
- Provide leadership to assigned staff, including performance guidance
- Lead facility tours and explain quality systems to visitors
- Assist or back up the QA Manager as required
Skills/Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2 years quality or manufacturing engineering experience. Will also consider a Bachelor’s degree in scientific/technical field with 5 years of quality or manufacturing engineering experience.
- ASQ certification or equivalent body of knowledge is highly desirable (CQA, CQE, CQT, Six Sigma GB/BB)
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working directly with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of quality tools, methodologies, and regulatory requirements
Additional Details:
Employment Type: direct hire
Salary: $80k-$100k bonus
The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
