SolomonEdwards is partnering with a leading, nationwide mortgage lender to identify a Mortgage Closer to play a vital role in the final stages of the mortgage lending process. In this role, you will ensure smooth, accurate, and compliant closing experience for borrowers, internal teams, and third-party partners—directly impacting loan quality, funding timelines, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do:
- Review and analyze loan data to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to closing
- Prepare and assemble closing documents, including the final Closing Disclosure and settlement statements
- Communicate effectively with borrowers, loan officers, processors, title companies, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate closing logistics, including scheduling signings and ensuring all required documentation is received
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor loan closing regulations
- Maintain accurate closing schedules, timelines, and deadlines
- Support a smooth and efficient closing process while delivering a positive borrower experience
What We’re Looking For:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- Experience in financial services, with mortgage industry experience preferred
- General understanding of applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple closings simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working in loan operating systems
Initial Compensation & Benefits (Contract Phase):
- Pay rate up to $28/hour, plus 1.5x overtime pay over 40 hours

- This position has a consistently high, on-time conversion rate for contractors who meet performance expectations. At 800 hours (~5.5 months), our contractors are eligible to become permanent employees.
Benefits After Conversion to Permanent Employee:
- Opportunity to earn a performance incentive each quarter up to $2,400. This can be as much as $2 to $4 more an hour above your base salary. ($9,600 annually)
