Technical Project Manager - Video Streaming

A leading digital media organization is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support video player and video advertising technology services that power large-scale digital platforms. Video is central to the organization’s media experience and this role will help ensure the reliable delivery and continuous improvement of the systems that support it.

• This is a temporary/contract role.
• Location: Culver City, CA (4x per week in-office); this is not a remote position

The Project Manager will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, QA and Platform teams to coordinate releases, manage delivery timelines and drive cross-functional initiatives. This role requires strong familiarity with the software development lifecycle, the ability to facilitate effective meetings and the leadership skills to keep complex technical projects moving forward.

Responsibilities:

• Manage technical initiatives related to video player and video ad technology across web, mobile and connected TV platforms
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, QA and Platform teams to plan and deliver projects on time
• Coordinate release timing and cadence across multiple teams and platforms
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives
• Create and maintain project documentation, schedules and status reporting for stakeholders
• Identify risks, dependencies and blockers while driving solutions that keep projects on track
• Manage communication with internal stakeholders, vendors and external partners
• Support cross-team planning and ensure alignment with broader program and business goals
  
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 7 years of experience in technical project or program management within digital product or media environments
• Experience working with video player technology, streaming platforms or ad tech integrations is required
• Experience managing cross-platform services at scale (e.g., video, identity, APIs)
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with streaming QoE tools (e.g., Conviva, Mux, Bitmovin), analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Adobe Analytics) or ad platforms such as Google Ad Manager
• Proven ability to facilitate meetings, maintain reliable documentation and coordinate work across multiple teams
• Strong communication, accountability and leadership skills with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
