Our client, a well-established company is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to start right away ! This position will be located on site in the Stamford office.
Responsibilities :
Prepare accurate journal entries and reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure the integrity of financial records.
Support the preparation of monthly closings and financial reports adhering to GAAP standards.
Compile and review monthly financial statements to monitor organizational performance.
Assist in preparing detailed budget forecasts to guide fiscal planning.
Conduct audits to analyze financial performance and ensure compliance.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial practices with business objectives.
Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by management. Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields
A minimum of 2 years in accounting or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in accounting softwares
Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
High accuracy and attention to detail in financial documentation and reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
