We are hiring a Color & Artwork Sr. Developer (Packaging) to join a top beauty company in Clark, NJ. This freelance position will run for 12 months with potential to extend and will be hybrid in their Clark, NJ office (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Responsibilities:
Artwork Management:
- Project Management: Oversee and manage the lifecycle of various regulatory artwork projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to established guidelines.
- Brief Creation: Develop comprehensive and accurate project briefs for new artwork initiatives, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to gather all necessary information.
- System Routing & Approval: Utilize the artwork management system, TAG, to route artwork for review and approval, tracking project completion progress
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure all artwork projects meet stringent regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Color Matching: Manage color matching process of sustainability projects including removal of carbon black, rematching colors in PCR and ensure new BOMs and specs are issued for revised colors.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication between cross-functional teams, Marketing, Packaging Development, the Plant and External Agencies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation for all assigned projects.
- 2-4 years’ experience in proven package development project /quality experience, preferably in the cosmetics, consumer goods or related field is required
- A completed Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or a related engineering/technical discipline a plus is required
- Travel to vendors and plants may be required (5-10% of time)
- Proficient PC skills – Excel and PowerPoint?
- Proficient communication skills (written & verbal), to be able to deal effectively with all levels of our organization and our suppliers.
- Good organizational skills to manage the documentation, materials and information.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
