Role Overview:
- Contract Role: 12 months
- Pay: $40.04/hr on W2
- Execute high-quality tissue processing and embedding using both paraffin and frozen section techniques to ensure consistency.
- Perform specialized staining methods, including histology, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF), to support research and imaging goals.
- Troubleshoot and refine laboratory protocols to ensure reproducible, high-quality results while maintaining strict compliance and detailed documentation.
- Partner with researchers to design experiments, analyze data, and interpret findings.
- Master’s or PhD in biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field is expected, though a Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience will be considered..
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in tissue processing, embedding, and staining within a research or clinical laboratory setting.
- Proficient in histological techniques (paraffin and cryosectioning) and specialized staining methods, including immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF).
- Prior experience with skin or ocular tissues, HPLC, and 3D printing is highly preferred, alongside the ability to troubleshoot and optimize protocols.
- Strong attention to detail for data analysis, coupled with excellent time-management, multitasking, and laboratory safety/compliance standard maintenance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to document procedures and work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team.
