Procurement Manager

We have partnered with a client to find a Procurement Manager, you will have a blank canvas to design, implement, and lead the procurement strategy for the company. Looking for a “Builder” someone who is excited about creating a process.

• Role is hybrid (4 days in office- 1 remote) base comp up to $150 depending on level of experience.
  
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Establish the Function: Build the procurement framework from the ground up, including vendor selection criteria, RFP processes, and purchasing policies. Develop vendor management policies and long-term strategies.
• Strategic Sourcing: Manage the full lifecycle of sourcing for supplies, capital equipment, and indirect spend (IT, facilities, office supplies).
• Vendor Management: Negotiate enterprise-level contracts and manage relationships with key distributors and manufacturers to ensure favorable pricing and service levels. Revise & build processes to efficiently manage vendor, on-boarding, clinic access to vendors, access to vendor portals, etc.
• Contract Management: Work with operations and legal teams to draft review and negotiate contract terms and SLAs. Implement systems and processes to track contract documents, key dates, expirations, etc.
• Process Optimization: Manage centralized procurement systems or e-procurement tools to streamline ordering across 130 sites. Provide oversite and training to buyers across the business.
• Financial Impact: Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to cost avoidance and budget adherence.
• Risk & Compliance: Ensure procurement function compliance with regulations, company policy, and risk management protocols.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Clinical Operations and Finance to standardize products across locations, ensuring clinical excellence while maximizing economies of scale.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Advanced Excel skills, such as pivots, lookups, and formula driven spreadsheets
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills to enhance team collaboration
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented and proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, following through to completion
• Demonstrates cultural competency, sensitivity and responsiveness to various cultural characteristics and beliefs
• Work from our HQ office in West Austin 4 days a week ( 1 day hybrid option) is required
• Bachelor’s degree required, finance, accounting, business administration or similar preferred
• Experience: 5–8 years in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within the healthcare, or multi-site retail sectors.
• Experience with enterprise ERP and procurement platforms preferred
• Experience with fast-growing multi-site organization, preferably Healthcare related
• Experience with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) preferred
