Our client, a privately held investment management firm, is seeking a Content Writer to join the Marketing Content Team. This Content Writer will be a key part of the marketing team, helping to bring the firm's investment strategies to life through clear, compelling storytelling. The Writer be responsible for creating a range of content—digital and print—that engages audiences and highlights the firm’s differentiated capabilities. A strong background writing for asset management or financial services is essential. This is a full-time position that requires ~2-days/week onsite in Downtown Boston.
Responsibilities:
- Write and shape marketing materials that communicate complex investment ideas in an accessible, engaging way.
- Produce high-quality website copy, strategy descriptions, marketing emails, RFP responses, and social media content that reflect the firm's brand and voice.
- Draft thought leadership pieces by gathering input from interviews, outlines, and research, tailoring messaging for target audiences.
- Work closely with digital marketing teams to create SEO-driven content that supports broader brand awareness and lead generation efforts.
- Develop communications for clients around firm and strategy updates, collaborating with senior leadership and client relations teams.
- Adapt written content for multimedia formats such as video scripts, podcasts, and webinars.
- Edit and proofread content to maintain accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Bring fresh ideas to marketing initiatives by staying current with trends in digital marketing, content strategy, and financial communications.
Required Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of professional writing experience, with a strong background in asset management or financial services marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA, CFA, CAIA, or similar credential is a plus.
- Proven ability to translate complex financial topics into client-friendly language across a variety of formats.
- Solid experience writing for wealth management audiences and optimizing content for digital channels.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards related to investment communications.
- Excellent editorial skills, including editing, proofreading, and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
