  • Establish a strong pipeline of new products, key items and scalable concepts capable of driving meaningful incremental business.
  • Balance near-term customer opportunities with the long-term development and health of the overall product portfolio.

  • Partner closely with sales leadership on major retailer presentations, seasonal opportunities and new business initiatives.
  • Continually assess mature categories for opportunities to refresh, reposition or reinvent the assortment.
  • Provide senior leadership across the complete product lifecycle, from concept and trend direction through design, development, sourcing, customer presentation, launch and lifecycle management.
  • Lead and develop Product Development, Design and Creative teams with clear expectations around priorities, timing, quality and commercial results.
  • Encourage original product thinking rather than simply reacting to existing market trends.
  • Ensure that new products successfully combine aesthetic appeal, functionality, value, manufacturability and commercial viability.
  • Champion innovation in materials, formats, product applications, packaging and emerging consumer trends.
  • Introduce new tools and technologies, including appropriate use of AI-enabled creative and product-development tools, to improve speed, insight and innovation.

  • Partner with Sales to develop assortments and product concepts that strengthen existing customer relationships and create new revenue opportunities.
  • Evaluate competitive assortments, pricing, positioning and presentation to identify opportunities for meaningful differentiation.
  • Understand the complexities of developing products for high-volume retail while maintaining the creativity and agility required for emerging or specialty opportunities.
  • Evaluate product opportunities through both a creative and financial lens, considering revenue potential, margin, development complexity, speed to market, competitive differentiation and organizational capacity.
  • Use sales results and product performance to continually refine assortment breadth, category investment and innovation priorities.
  • Make disciplined decisions regarding resource allocation and product-development investment.
  • Partner with executive leadership, Sales and Sourcing to balance growth objectives with margin, timing, operational capabilities and customer expectations.
  • Ensure teams remain focused on the products and opportunities with the greatest potential business impact.
  • Build, mentor and develop high-performing teams across Product Development, Design and related creative functions.
  • Assess organizational capabilities and recruit key talent where additional expertise is needed to support growth.
  • Establish clear accountability and effective decision-making across product, design, sourcing, sales and creative teams.
  • Foster a culture that combines creativity, curiosity and innovation with commercial awareness and executional discipline.
  • Develop processes that allow teams to move efficiently from concept through commercialization without sacrificing product quality or originality.
  • Serve as a senior member of the leadership team and contribute to broader company strategy, growth initiatives and organizational planning.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and other functional leaders on major product, category, customer and investment decisions.
  • Bring well-developed product recommendations to executive leadership and translate strategic decisions into executable plans.
  • Provide leadership with clear visibility into product opportunities, priorities, performance, organizational capabilities and resource requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Significant senior-level product leadership experience within Home, Gift, Accessories, Lifestyle or closely related consumer product categories.
  • Strong experience developing multi-category product assortments rather than operating within a single narrow classification.
  • A successful track record working with major U.S. retailers, ideally across mass, department store, specialty, off-price and/or national retail channels.
  • Deep expertise in product development, merchandising, assortment strategy and commercialization.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between design, sourcing, pricing, margin, retailer requirements and speed to market.
  • Experience identifying and successfully entering new product categories or materially expanding existing ones.
  • The ability to interpret consumer and design trends and translate them into commercially relevant, differentiated products.
  • Experience managing and developing senior creative, product development and design talent.
  • Strong financial and analytical judgment, with the ability to prioritize opportunities based on both creative potential and business return.
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales and executive leadership on major customer and growth initiatives.
  • A collaborative leadership style combined with the confidence to make difficult product, assortment and investment decisions.
  • Experience within a wholesale business.
