Accounts Receivable / Billing Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced AR/Billing Manager with a strong accounting foundation and proven leadership capabilities to oversee and optimize the accounts receivable and billing function. This role requires a proactive, process-driven leader who understands the full accounting cycle, including the impact of AR on the general ledger, and who has successfully managed high-volume invoicing environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with NetSuite, has led teams through operational transformation (including paperless initiatives), and thrives in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.

Role can be open to hybrid once fully acclimated and base is $120k-$160 range varies on level of experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable and Billing team
• Oversee high-volume invoicing processes ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Ensure proper revenue recognition and alignment with accounting policies
• Maintain a strong understanding of AR subledger activity and its integration into the General Ledger
• Perform month-end close responsibilities related to AR, including reconciliations and reporting
• Drive continuous process improvements, including automation and digitization initiatives
• Lead companywide efforts to transition to a paperless AR/billing environment
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Finance to resolve billing discrepancies
• Develop and monitor KPIs around DSO, aging, collections, and cash application
• Mentor, coach, and develop AR/Billing team members
• Ensure internal controls are in place and adhered to
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 5–10 years of progressive AR/Billing experience
• Prior management or team leadership experience required- Will manage a team of 20 and revamp team)
• Strong accounting knowledge with solid understanding of GL impact and reconciliations
• High-volume invoicing experience
• Hands-on NetSuite experience required
• Proven experience implementing process improvements or leading a transition to paperless systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate proactively and strategically, not just transactionally
