We have offices in Albany, NY, New York, NY, and Washington, DC, Solomon Law and seek an Employment litigation Attorney for its Washington, D.C. office. Work is primarily performed in a hybrid capacity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Approx. five or more years of litigation experience, including civil rights litigation. Experience in federal sector employment litigation is a plus, but is not required.
- Prior clerkship preferred
- Litigate lawsuits involving abroad range of employment-related claims, including FLSA, whistleblower and discrimination claims
- Advise, counsel, and represent clients on various employment law issues
- Negotiate severance agreements
- Represent clients in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases
- Skills and Educational Requirements:
- JD from accredited law school
- Class/collective action, wage and hour, and leave law experience a plus
- Competitive academic credentials
- Current Bar admission
- Understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork

Salary range is a base salary, the firm maintains a generous bonus program tied to revenue generation. Total compensation is dependent on experience and existing client base.
