Job Title: Patient Registrar
Location: Hackettstown, NJ
Job Type: Full-time / Contract / Temporary
Pay: $26 per hour

Available Shifts:

• 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Occasional Saturdays)
• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Every Other Weekend Required)
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (2 positions available)
• 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Overnight Shift; 1 position available)

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Registrars to join our healthcare team in Hackettstown, NJ. Patient Registrars are essential in managing patient admissions, verifying insurance, and ensuring data accuracy. These positions serve as key entry points into the revenue cycle, helping maintain data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Access & Record Establishment:

Register patients across departments, locate or create medical record numbers using approved search methods.

• Insurance Verification & Data Entry:

Verify insurance eligibility and accurately enter demographic and insurance data into the electronic medical record system.

• Documentation & Compliance:

Provide required documentation such as the Patient Bill of Rights, HIPAA Notice of Privacy, and IMM letters in accordance with state, federal, and Joint Commission standards.

• Revenue Cycle Contribution:

Act as a critical first point of contact in the revenue cycle, ensuring accurate data collection and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Education:

High School Diploma or GED (required)

• Experience:

Prior patient registration experience (preferred)

• Skills:
• Familiarity with medical terminology (highly preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
