Role Description The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist is a full-time, on-site role based in Canton, OH. This role involves setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications and production schedules. Daily responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and work orders, selecting appropriate tooling, performing machine adjustments, and conducting in-process inspections to ensure quality and accuracy. The CNC Machinist will maintain equipment, troubleshoot machining issues, and collaborate with team members in production and quality control to meet deadlines and safety standards. The role also includes documenting work performed, following established procedures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Machine Operation and Machinery use for CNC and related equipment.
- Proficiency in Machining and Milling techniques for precision metal components.
- Experience with Quality Control practices, including measurement tools and inspection procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Understanding of shop mathematics and basic geometry for machining applications.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Prior experience as a CNC machinist or in a similar manufacturing role; experience in forging or heavy industry is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in machining is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in an industrial environment.
