What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founder's Associate position at Solidroad?
About Solidroad
Building something great is addictive. It's like discovering your favorite TV show mid-season, except you're helping write the next episode. It's like unboxing a new gadget, except you're the one designing it. You shape how it feels, how it works, and how people react when they use it.
At Solidroad we're solving a big, messy, exciting problem: how do you scale customer support without losing what makes humans amazing? Warmth, empathy, intuition. We're using AI, generative tech, and real-time simulations to make this happen. It's ambitious, difficult, and genuinely new.
About The Role
We're looking for a Founder's Associate who sees this role as more than just keeping things running. You'll be the operational backbone of our SF and Dublin offices — the person who makes sure two Co-Founders can stay focused on building the company, every new hire arrives to a desk that's actually ready for them, and the office genuinely feels like a place people want to be.
This role sits at the intersection of executive support, office management, and people operations. It touches nearly every part of how Solidroad runs and how its employees experience it day-to-day. You'll report to the Head of Operations and work in close partnership to keep everything moving — from managing Co-Founder calendars and coordinating cross-timezone meetings, to organizing candidate interviews , handling immigration paperwork, and making sure swag boxes land on time. There will be a lot happening in parallel. That's the job, and the right person will love it.
What You'll Actually Do Day-to-Day
Our Team & Culture
We're a growing team across San Francisco and Dublin, working in-office because building something ambitious means collaborating closely, solving problems together, and sharing ideas spontaneously. We're intentional about creating a culture that's mature, supportive, and fun — and this role is central to making that culture real. You'll be joining experienced founders who've done this before, alongside a tight-knit team genuinely excited about building something impactful.
We Hope You
The highs here are real — you'll have direct proximity to the Founders, significant ownership over things that actually matter, and the satisfaction of knowing that when things run well, it's because of you. The lows are that the scope is wide, priorities shift fast, and you'll need to hold a lot of parallel workstreams without losing anything.
The reality is that a role like this is a bit like running a sport or learning an instrument: you invest in it not just because you have to, but because you genuinely want to be better at it tomorrow than you are today.
If that sounds exciting, don't second-guess yourself. Get in touch. Tell us a bit about who you are, why this feels right, and share an example of something operational you've built or fixed that you're proud of. We value ownership and attention to detail just as much as your experience.

We Hope You
- Have experience in an Executive Assistant, Office Manager, Recruitment Coordinator or People Operations role — ideally in a tech startup environment where the scope evolves and no two weeks look the same.
- Bring exceptionally high organizational standards and strong follow-through. You don't drop things. You build systems so things don't get dropped.
- Are proactive and self-directed. You identify what's needed before being asked and act on it. You don't wait to be managed.
- Are discreet and trustworthy with sensitive information — from Founder calendars to immigration documents to hiring pipelines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally — with vendors, candidates, employees, and Founders alike.
- Bring genuine warmth. You understand that how the office feels matters as much as how it functions.
