Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sorter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently sorting and managing materials, waste, or recyclables in a manufacturing or sanitation environment. Duties
- Sort materials, recyclables, or waste according to company standards and safety guidelines
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, garbage trucks, and sanitation vehicles as needed
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials or debris
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure proper sanitation practices are followed
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using appropriate machinery
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or malfunctions immediately
- Support team efforts in maintaining efficient workflow and adhering to environmental regulations
Skills
- Experience with loader operation, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, or garbage trucks is preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes or sanitation standards is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Prior experience in cleaning or sanitation roles is advantageous but not required
