Our Morris County Division located in Dunmore, PA is currently searching for a Trailer Mechanic due to growth!

What You Will Do:
- Work under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks
- Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services
- Perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment
- Fabricate and repair body parts on trailers as well as disassemble and reassemble trailer parts as necessary to repair damaged areas
- Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
- Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisition of new parts
- Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles
- Complete required paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
- Review, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Vehicle Conditioning Reports
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Qualifications
You Have:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- At least three (3) years of experience as a trailer mechanic on class 8 trucks
- Diesel Engine Technical degree and/or training relative and transferable experience preferred.
- Knowledge in the safe operations of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists, and jacking equipment.
- Ability to identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others
- Must be able to work in a dusty, greasy environment, with moderate noise and cold and hot temperature ranges
- Must be able to follow all required work safe practices
- Must have own tools
- A Commercial (A or B) Driver License preferred
- PA State Inspection license highly desired
- ASEs preferred
You Might Have:
- A Diesel Engine Technical degree
- A commercial drivers license (CDL), A or B
- PA State Inspection License (highly desired)
