Our American Composting (A & M) located in Manheim, PA, is currently searching for a Third (3rd) Shift Laborer!

What You Will Do:

• Assemble flexible piping and positions it for proper aeration of windrows (rows of compost material).
• After receiving proper training, aid in removing unwanted debris from compost materials.
• Assist in the mechanical screening process to develop finished product.
• Ensures any spilled debris is properly cleaned up and appropriately stored for proper handling.
• Maintains compost screener and manifolds (connecting pipes) to remove excess materials and to maintain cleanliness.
• Directs and assists safe trucking of raw materials on site and keeps dump areas clean and orderly. 
• Light cleaning duties inside office buildings.
• Maintain landscaping onsite including, but not limited to, mowing, weed-whacking, mulching, snow removal, and assisting mechanics.
• Assist with onsite operations as needed when instructed by supervisor.
• Keep the onsite roads/surrounding area litter free.

You Have:

• A comfort level working in all-weather outdoors and ability to work indoors
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
• The ability to work every other Saturday (required) and overtime
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to withstand environmental conditions that include strong odors, high humidity, hot and cold working conditions depending on the season
