Our Corporate Office, located in Audubon, PA, is currently searching for a motivated and experienced attorney to join our dynamic Legal Department as Corporate Counsel in charge of our workers’ compensation litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for the right attorney to not only build and further their litigation career by leading high-quality workers’ compensation cases within a collaborative work environment, but also to learn and participate in other in-house attorney responsibilities within a large, fully-integrated corporation.

What You Will Do:

• Represent company in all phases of workers’ compensation litigation, including catastrophic injury cases.
• Handle case management from inception through appeals, including legal research, discovery, depositions, and case reporting.
• Attend court hearings and mediations as required.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to deliver high-quality legal services.
• Maintain direct contact with in-house claims team, company management, insurance partners, experts and vendors.
• Ensure timely reporting and compliance with company guidelines.
• Assist in other Legal Department matters as needed, including but not limited to other litigation, such as personal injury, commercial and employment litigation, general corporate matters, regulatory matters, employment matters, and real estate matters.

Qualifications

You Have/Are:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice and in good standing in Pennsylvania (New Jersey admission a plus).
• 4-10 years of workers’ compensation litigation experience, preferably in transportation, personal injury defense, or insurance defense.
• Experience with trucking/transportation industry preferred.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

We Prefer You Have:

• Extensive experience drafting all manner of workers’ compensation filings, including briefs.
• Experience conducting and defending depositions, and handling mediations and hearings.
• Experience litigating fee-review matters.
• Experience working with expert witnesses.
