A well-established mechanical contractor is seeking a Mechanical QA/QC Superintendent to support large commercial mechanical construction projects in the San Antonio market. This leadership role is ideal for someone passionate about quality, process improvement, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract requirements.

Responsibilities
- Lead project quality assurance and quality control efforts from preconstruction through closeout
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans and procedures
- Conduct inspections of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, turnover documentation, and quality reporting
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change documents for quality compliance
- Identify deficiencies, develop corrective action plans, and track resolution through completion
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Leadership, Engineers, Owners, and General Contractors
- Support field teams through training, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in Mechanical Construction, QA/QC, Supervision, or Project Management
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Understanding of commissioning, testing procedures, and mechanical quality standards
- Experience working on large commercial, healthcare, industrial, mission-critical, or institutional projects preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- QA/QC certifications are a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred
