Their experienced team provides accounting, audit, tax, business formation and valuation, M&A planning, financial planning, fraud examination, consulting, and peer review services. They serve a wide range of clients across industries including affordable housing, construction, real estate, employee benefit plans, transportation and logistics, government and municipalities, manufacturing, healthcare practices, not-for-profits, retail/distribution, and public school districts. For this role, they are seeking an experienced auditor with strong nonprofit/governmental experience and Form 990 knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform financial statement and single-audit engagements for nonprofit/government clients.
- Supervise staff, review workpapers, and ensure GAAP/GAAS compliance.
- Knowledge of Form 990s and advise on nonprofit compliance.
- Communicate with clients and support engagement budgeting/scheduling.
Qualifications:
- CPA Required
- 8 years public accounting experience (nonprofit/government experience preferred).
- Experience with Form 990 and single-audit requirements.
- Strong supervisory, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly across upstate NY.
