What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Technician position at SOLID Personnel?
Key Responsibilities:Install, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6Route and label cables according to project specifications and building codesInstall and mount communications equipment, racks, patch panels, jacks, and faceplatesPerform cable certification using testing tools (Fluke or similar)Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagramsEnsure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and company standardsCollaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and other technicians to ensure successful project executionDocument installation processes, test results, and project progressMaintain tools, equipment, and a clean job siteTroubleshoot connectivity or performance issues in low voltage systemsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications a plus)1–3 years of experience in low voltage or structured cabling installationProficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cable testing equipmentComfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spacesStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workOSHA 10 or 30 certificationCompany DescriptionSOLID Personnel is a niche specific skilled trades recruiting & staffing firm founded in 2013.
