Shop Manager / Fleet Maintenance Manager
SCW Footings & Foundations – Utah
Pay: Starting at $30/hour, depending on experience
Full-time | 40 hours per week
SCW Footings & Foundations is looking for an experienced Shop Manager / Fleet Maintenance Manager to keep our trucks, trailers, and construction equipment maintained and ready for the field.
We have a fleet of approximately 20 trucks, 30 trailers, and 2 crane trucks, along with other construction equipment. This is a hands-on position managing a shop crew of approximately 5 people.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily shop operations and a crew of 5
- Maintain and repair trucks, trailers, crane trucks, and construction equipment
- Diagnose mechanical problems and coordinate repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Basic welding and fabrication
- Keep equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the job
- Manage parts, supplies, and shop inventory
- Schedule repairs and prioritize equipment needs
- Coordinate outside repairs when necessary
- Keep the shop organized and efficient
Requirements
- Strong mechanical skills required
- Experience working on trucks, diesel equipment, trailers, or construction equipment
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems
- Leadership and management experience
- Basic welding skills
- Reliable and organized
- Able to work independently and make decisions
- Construction or heavy-equipment experience preferred
What We're Looking For
We need someone who knows how to turn a wrench, can diagnose problems, and can manage people. This is not a desk-only management position. You will be working hands-on with the equipment and helping keep our crews working.
Starting pay: $30/hour – higher depending on experience.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week.
