Schedule/Hours:
- 36–40 hours per week, based on arrangement (three 12-hour, four 10-hour, or five 8-hour shifts)
- Start and end times set during the phone interview
- Call rotation: approximately every 5th weekend plus 1–2 calls per week (30-minute on-site response required)
- Possible holiday call rotation, depending on patient census and staffing needs
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
- BLS certification required
- CST certification preferred, but not required
- Advanced knowledge and extensive current experience in ortho, neuro, vascular cases, and more—candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive skillset
- Familiarity with central processing and surgical instrumentation
- Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Duties:
- Scrub and assist in a wide variety of surgical cases (orthopedic, neuro, vascular, etc.)
- Collaborate seamlessly with the surgical and perioperative team
- Ensure accurate handling and processing of surgical instruments
- Quickly adapt to department needs, including an active on-call rotation
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
