Position Details
- 13-week travel assignment
- 12-hour night shifts
- Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide provided)
- BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke certification required
- Patient ratio approximately 1:5-6 nights, 1:4-5 days
- Unit caring for cardiac, surgical, and respiratory illnesses; no A-lines, trachs, or vents
- Manage Tikosyn loading, Cardizem titration, heparin, amiodarone drips, post-op drains, wound vacs
- 26-bed stepdown unit with occasional charge nurse duties
- Current RN license in a compact state or state of practice
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; 6 months acute care preferred
- BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke certification required
- Dysrhythmia exam with study guide assistance
- Critical care or progressive care certification (CCRN, PCCN) preferred
- EPIC EHR experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to prioritize and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans
- Administer medication safely in compliance with protocols
- Coordinate patient care across departments and advocate for patient and family needs
- Utilize evidence-based nursing practice models for patient-centered care
- Participate in quality improvement and maintain safety standards
- Provide patient teaching and support coping with illness and recovery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for optimal patient outcomes
