Travel Stepdown Nurse (RN) - Lima, OH

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Schedule

• 12-hour days, Weekender shifts only (Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon)
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in practicing state, or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (CCRN, PCCN, and NIH Stroke Certification preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; at least 6 months in acute care preferred
• Strong experience with ICU-level patients, vent/trach management, and drips (Amio, Cardizem, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine, Cardene, Lasix, Bumex, Narcan, Milrinone)
• Proficient in central line, medi port, PICC, midline, foley/nephrostomy tubes, pleurix, NG/PEG/J tubes
• Ability to float between stepdown, ICU, and MS/Tele as needed
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Dysrhythmia exam completion (study guide available)
  
  

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, create and evaluate care plans
• Safely administer medications and manage ventilated/trach patients
• Coordinate patient care and act as a safety advocate
• Serve as a liaison for patients, interdisciplinary teams, and families
• Respond rapidly and adapt to changing patient conditions
• Provide education and support to patients and peers
• Manage patients with complex devices, lines, and critical care needs
