Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Surgical Technologist/Nursing - ORT program.

• Previous experience in an operating room setting strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Demonstrated detail orientation, especially with supplies, instruments, and compliance with safety standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of surgical procedures to assist surgical teams efficiently and anticipate surgeon needs.
• Assemble and verify sterile instruments, ensuring all equipment and supplies are present, in working condition, and prepared according to the physician’s preference card.
• Diligently maintain and monitor the integrity of the sterile field, immediately correcting any breaks in sterile technique.
• Accurately count and document medications, instruments, sponges, and sharps to maintain safety and ensure precise patient billing.
• Set up sterile fields in a timely fashion, adhering to policies that safeguard surgical success and patient well-being.
• Clean, sterilize, and troubleshoot equipment as needed to ensure operational readiness for every procedure.
