Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license (state-specific or compact)
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a Cath Lab setting
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently within an interdisciplinary team
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and device implantations
- Monitor and document patient status before, during, and after procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other healthcare staff for optimal patient outcomes
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies as needed
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-care requirements
