An exciting opportunity awaits a Registered Nurse with telemonitoring skills to contribute clinical expertise in a dynamic medical-surgical unit in Denver, CO. Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to an 18-bed medical-surgical tele unit, maintaining patient ratios of 5:1 RN to patient.
• Monitor and manage a variety of medical and surgical patients, including those recovering from minimally invasive surgeries, ostomy creations, CHF, COPD, sepsis, and DKA.
• Utilize Philips monitors and Meditech EMR for patient assessment and documentation.
• Perform tracheostomy and ostomy care, manage artificial airways, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Participate in shift huddles and bedside reports, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care.
• Adhere to unit protocols including hand hygiene, restraint procedures, and central line management.
• Execute purposeful hourly rounding focusing on patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with patient care technicians for daily care needs and assist with patient hygiene and nutrition.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech, including vital signs, interventions, and patient status updates.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid RN licensure with experience in tele-monitoring and medical-surgical nursing.
• Proficiency in Meditech EMR system.
• Skilled in tracheostomy and ostomy care.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to patient-centered care with excellent communication skills.
