Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Greeley, CO

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 educational opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. This contract position is based in Greeley, CO, and spans the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, utilizing appropriate strategies and communication methods.
• Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching approaches to support academic and social development.
• Maintain accurate records and provide timely reports on student achievement.
• Participate in professional development and stay current on best practices for deaf education.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with endorsement or certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education.
• Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across K-12 grade levels.
• Proficiency in communication modes such as American Sign Language (ASL) is highly preferred.
• Strong skills in differentiating instruction and behavior management.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
