Speech Pathology Assistant - Atascadero, CA

Provide essential speech and language support to K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant in a school setting based in Atascadero, CA. This contract position spans the entire school year and involves working onsite to assist students under the direct supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists. Collaborate closely with education professionals to help students meet their communication goals and contribute to their overall academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect speech and language services in accordance with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff, especially during high-stress or crisis situations.
• Travel between multiple school sites as needed to provide comprehensive services.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings to support student progress.
• Follow all school and district policies while working onsite (virtual work is not available).
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or a related field.
• Active Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license or certification.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage responsibilities across multiple school buildings during the day.
