Qualifications And Experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience providing Speech-Language Pathology services in a hospital setting
- Current, valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Completion of a master’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to conduct assessments and develop comprehensive care plans for diverse patient populations
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans and adjust interventions based on patient progress and evolving needs
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure positive patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports in compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide education and support to patients, caregivers, and families regarding therapy interventions and strategies for at-home care
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the hospital’s therapy department
