This contract position offers the chance to support and empower 4th–8th grade students (with potential adjustments in age group) in a collaborative, school-based environment near Muskegon, MI.
Start your journey on August 18, 2026, and continue guiding students’ growth through June 16, 2027, maintaining a steady schedule of 37.5 hours per week. All candidates holding SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials are encouraged to apply. Supervision and mentorship are available for Clinical Fellows, making this an excellent setting to build a strong foundation or further your expertise in school-based speech-language pathology.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active or eligibility for state licensure as an SLP
- ASHA CCC certification or clinical fellow status (CFY) accepted
- School-based experience or strong interest in working in educational settings
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to helping students overcome communication challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct and indirect therapy to students in small groups and individually
- Consult and collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in line with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and other school-based team activities
