A part-time Speech Language Pathologist is needed to provide maternity leave coverage at a high school serving students in grades 9-12 in Coventry, RI. This contract position offers guaranteed hours and provides direct and indirect speech therapy services for high school students.
The assignment is expected to begin on January 5, 2026, and may last until approximately March 2026. The schedule includes 1 to 2 days per week, up to 14 hours total. Therapists will focus exclusively on delivering speech-language pathology services without additional duties such as bus duty or parent pickup. Travel therapists may be eligible for stipends.

Qualifications And Experience
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC strongly preferred)
- Licensed or eligible to work in Rhode Island schools
- Experience working with high school populations
- Candidates holding SLP Certification of Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) are encouraged to apply
- Previous school-based speech therapy experience is highly desirable
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct and indirect speech therapy services to students
- Collaborate with educational staff and families as appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school protocols
