Speech Language Pathologist CFY - Long Beach, CA

Position requires a degree in Speech-Language Pathology, eligibility to begin the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) under ASHA supervision, and eligible for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• Previous experience in school settings or pediatric populations is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently manage caseload; no supervision of SLPAs required.
• Comfort working with mild to moderate specialized support classrooms.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to students within McBride/Millikan Specialized Healthcare and Mild/Moderate SDC programs.
• Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
• Document progress and maintain compliance with district and state requirements.
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to ensure alignment on intervention strategies.
• Flexible adaptation to the needs of individual students, prioritizing supportive and inclusive interventions.
