Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience working with middle school students, specifically in a self-contained or Life Skills classroom
• Strong knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs), including writing and progress monitoring
• Ability to develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies tailored to various learning profiles and abilities
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, families, and related service providers
• Commitment to maintaining a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, functional life skills instruction to students in grades 6-8 within a self-contained classroom
• Develop, write, and monitor individualized education plans, ensuring compliance with all legal guidelines
• Track and report on student progress, making data-driven adjustments to instructional plans as needed
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service staff, and paraprofessionals
• Foster a positive, respectful atmosphere where students feel valued and supported
• Communicate regularly with families to address student progress and offer resources as appropriate
